--LHP Jose Mijares' two-run one-third of an inning on Sunday afternoon marked the Twins' fifth blown save of the season -- though just one of those belongs to closer Joe Nathan. Those five blown saves rank second-most among all American League teams through Sunday.
--RHP Jesse Crain, who spent time on the disabled list already this season for a sore throwing shoulder, gave up two runs without recording an out Sunday against Seattle. Crain said the good news was his shoulder keeps getting better, and that after his previous outing, it felt better the next day than it had before he pitched. --1B Justin Morneau leads the Twins' offense in nearly every statistical category for players who have been with the team all season. Excluding the red-hot C Joe Mauer who has played in just nine games this year, Morneau's .322 batting average and .388 on-base percentage are tops for the Twins.
MEDICAL WATCH:
3B Joe Crede (sore left hamstring) did not play May 8-10. He is expected back by May 12.
CF Carlos Gomez (face, neck) was hurt May 6, and he sat out May 7. He appeared as a reserve May 8-9.
RHP Boof Bonser (torn right labrum and rotator cuff surgery in February 2009) went on the 15-day disabled list April 2. He is out for the season.
RHP Pat Neshek (right elbow surgery) went on the 60-day disabled list Feb. 21. He will remain in Florida all summer and targets a return by next spring.
