--RF Michael Cuddyer took about 20 light swings and wore his glove for the first time since going on the disabled list June 30. --CF Carlos Gomez felt healthy enough to play, and Ron Gardenhire said the 22-year-old would likely be in Tuesday's starting lineup. He entered the game in the eighth inning. Gomez had been out since Friday when he left Progressive Field in Cleveland on a backboard after a collision with the outfield wall.
--Minnesota will decide whether to trade, activate or designate SS Adam Everett, who could also continue his rehab assignment if he agrees to. Everett's 20-day rehab stint (strained right shoulder) expired Monday night, and manager Ron Gardenhire said the shortstop was scheduled to arrive in Minnesota on Tuesday morning for discussions.
