Gardenhire falls ill during game
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire retreated to his office to watch most of a 9-6 victory over Seattle on Saturday night after feeling ill early in the game.

Gardenhire said he began to feel flush and had the chills while in the dugout in the first few innings. So he went upstairs to his office "in the third or fourth inning" to watch the rest of the game on television.

"I wasn't feeling very good," Gardenhire said. "I kind of just got flushed and a little light-headed. Just decided to come up here and calm down a little bit. Just dizzy."

Gardenhire said he was feeling better after the game and blamed part of it on a new exercise routine and diet that he has been using to try to get into better shape.

"I need a burger," Gardenhire quipped. "This chicken's going to take me down."
