MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Twins third baseman Joe Crede has returned to the team earlier than expected following the birth of his son, Jace.
Crede and his wife, Lisa, also have two young daughters. She delivered their first son on Friday in Missouri, and Crede missed Minnesota's game against Kansas City that night as a result.He was back on Saturday, though, and batting fifth. Jason Kubel was supposed to play left field, but he was scratched due to an illness. Delmon Young took his place in left.
